Po'town

Hey haaaaaayyyy!

So I went on my trip upstate yesterday instead of last weekend. I thought it was going to be fun, until I realized that the Metro North isn't air conditioned. In case you didn't know, the Metro North is a train line that runs upstate and through Connecticut, but it is still considered part of the New York City Transit system. Anyway, my trip began in Grand Central Station, where everything is overpriced!! Sure, it is beautiful, but $4 for a bottle of Dasani water? I think not!

When I got on the train, I immediately drank all of my water because I was dying of heat stroke. I spent $30 and had to ride and hour and a half of the worst near-death experience I have ever had. Imagine driving in your car on a 90 degree day with no air, and no windows open. You're dying already, right?!

Once I got to Poughkeepsie, I met up with my friend Jim. Poughkeepsie isn't exactly a walking kind of town, so he had to pick me up from the train station. It was refreshing to actually see trees and grass! There was even an artsy beached whale thing! We went to an actual grocery store, and parked in an actual parking lot! Haha :]

Once I got to Jim's house, I met the love of my life. His name is Prada Hilton, and he has four legs. Aren't we cute?

The train ride home was better- this one was actually air conditioned. Although this time I had to sit in front of a family of four that had apparently never seen water before. Why does the river become more fascinating from the train? I think I would have rather died of heat stroke again...

Work was interesting. It was my first day with my new email address, and one of my bosses is out of town until Tuesday, so my day was spent returning phone calls and answering emails. FUN STUFF! For real.

SCHOOL IS QUICKLY APPROACHING! I have no clue what I'm going to do with myself...

PS- If you are reading this, and you'd like to be added to my email list (I'll let you know every time via email when I update), definitely let me know! I feel like I don't know who all is reading this, and I would love to!!

PEACE.
